• Mission Critical MEP Project Manager

    Client-side opportunity for a MEP Project Manager to work for a global data centre provider.

    Our client work on data centres across the globe and they have successfully forged an enviable reputation within the mission critical sector. Due to an impressive portfolio of work, and order book of projects they are looking to add a Project Manager from a building services background with previous data centre experience.

    The successful candidate for managing all aspects of construction projects. Include providing leadership to consultants, vendors and contractors. Projects will be regional; however, projects out of region may be assigned. The Project Manager will oversee challenging deliverables against aggressive project expectations and will report to the Director of Construction. The candidate will have overall responsibility for delivering the assigned project(s) safely, on budget, on time, while ensuring that the project scope and quality meet the companies design standards and the objectives set for the project.


    • The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day activities of the various contractors and vendors in the delivery of Data Centre projects ranging from 10 -60MW across Europe.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously as required
    • Responsible for creating and managing project schedules.
    • Serve as a key liaison with managers of all company departments including executive management, operations, sales and finance.
    • Liaise with clients where applicable and manage both their needs and expectations.
    • Responsible for creating and managing project budgets.
    • Responsible for Monthly Project reporting to the Director of Construction to assure that budget, schedule and scope objectives are being achieved by the project teams.
    • Assist with preparation of requests for proposals to Contractors and Consultants, including detailed evaluations and recommendations.
    • Brief and instruct the Project Team of their roles and responsibilities.
    • Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan for the project(s)
    • Monitor the Project Team in their general performance of their services.
    • Monitor the distribution of information between the Project Team and between the Project Team and third parties.
    • Ensure all project scope and risk is managed through supply chain appointments
    • Assist in negotiating contracts with vendors as necessary. Review and become fully conversant with all legal contracts on the Project(s)
    • Responsible for handover of Project(s) to the operations team, including the resolution of all defects

  • Principal Mechanical Engineer


    £45000 - £60000 per annum

    Urgently seeking a dynamic, well-rounded and results driven Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer. My client was established in the 80's and has built a great reputation and a notable client base within the industry. They are responsible for major fit-out, new-build, and refurbishment projects, many of which have been high profile developments, in several sectors.

    Specific Duties:

     oversee intermediate/junior staff
     mentor staff undertaking further education
     ensure design procedures are followed and design files maintained.
     carry out mechanical design work
     review mechanical designs
     act as Project Leader when designated
     ensure staff work to meet time and quality targets
     lead and liaise with CAD department on M&E drawing production and workload.

    Liaise with Directors and assist with:

     fee proposals
     resource requirements
     staff issues that require director input
     need for external consultants
     monthly review of staff timesheets/project costs
     monitor and co-ordinate holidays
     produce basic fee payment schedules
     encourage team working and development
     ensure team concentration on work at hand
     attend corporate functions as required by directors
     ensure compliance of work produced with statutory and legal regulations
     ensure staff are aware of h & s requirements in relation to design
     identify 'gaps' in staff experience/education and look to fill these gaps

    To qualify for this role you must possess:

     extensive UK experience in the commercial sector of building services (MEP) - hotels, offices, high-end residential etc. (survey and design).
     degree qualified - industry related (building service/mechanical engineering/environmental engineering).
     experience in the management of junior/intermediate staff.
     an outgoing personality, capable of running projects with enthusiasm.
     familiarity with the London construction market and the hotel/hospitality industry.

  • Senior Public Health Engineer

    I have an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced Public Health Engineer to join a multi-award winning building services design consultancy. They are one of the industry leaders providing design and project management across some of the most complex projects within the residential sector. They are looking for an experienced Public Health engineer to join and assist their busy team in Hampshire. You will prepare and oversee engineering designs using the most recent software packages within building services. You will take responsibility for the management of projects to achieve deadlines - attending and leading projects and design meetings to ensure successful planning, allocation and coordination of work. Client liaison is a massive part of this role so someone who can influence technical meetings whilst maintaining strong relationships is essential. The key requirements of this role include:

    Applicants will have completed a degree in building services or mechanical engineers and have achieved chartered status or have made considerable progress in applying for chartership.
