I have started working with an independent engineering design practice in central London whose operations are based on the founding principle to deliver innovative yet practical solutions as the way to achieve successful exemplar and iconic buildings.
From meeting with them it’s clear to see that they are conscious of the need to make environmental systems work along with human nature and to design systems which require only minimal input from their occupants.
At present they are seeking an intermediate or senior level electrical design engineer to join their busy team to take on projects and be responsible for utility quotations, detailed design for LV, small power, lighting, fire alarm and auxiliary services (i.e. door entry, data, TV etc.) You will also need to provide technical support and check current intermediate and junior electrical engineers work.
They have a mix of projects currently running from small refurb of individual houses to £10m plus lots of school refurbs, change of use and new build (it would be helpful if you have a good understanding of ICT design for schools), student accommodation, extra care, community centre to name but a few.
There is a real opportunity here for someone to take on a role where you can gain exposure to all aspects of the projects from inception to completion meeting clients, running projects, mentoring junior engineers whilst developing your own skills through experience and training.
