I am seeking a Junior/Intermediate level Mechanical Engineer to work for a multi-discipline Mechanical and Electrical Design consultancy. They were formed in the mid 90's and have progressively grown into a very well respected consultancy known for delivering projects across several sectors and on various different frameworks.
My client specialises in Banking and Finance, Commercial, Education, Health, Residential and Retail. More specifically my client is responsible for many Cat A and B fit outs for buildings including The Shard, many medical surgeries throughout the UK, a large Australian retail store currently opening more than 50 stores per year, date centres, a well-known builders merchants, and several of the biggest financial institutions in the UK.
The working environment is one in which you will be exposed to engineers at all levels, including directors. It is a smaller office benefitting a less experienced engineer wanting to progress. The majority of those working for my client have been with the business for longer than ten years and have progressed up from junior positions. My client promotes organically and also progresses those with the ambition to work their way to the top. You will be reporting directly to a senior engineer learning from their many years of experience in the industry.
As a Junior/Intermediate Mechanical engineer you will have at least 2 years Building Services detailed design experience with a degree in either Building Services or Mechanical Engineering. This role would also be suitable for engineers who have on site experience on the tools as an installation engineer or similar, but who also have a degree and are looking to become a design engineer in an office environment. Experience using IES software and Hevacomp an advantage as well as experience using CAD and MEP Revit. You must have a get up and go attitude and be ready to assist a senior engineer, eventually managing your own long term projects.
