An exciting, diverse opportunity for an experienced Head of Engineering has arisen with a global company that have an internal engineering division that deliver a wide range of projects valued from £100K to £30M.
As the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for the creation of a technical edge to the business. This will involve management of a small team of in-house personnel and a wider external team of consultants /advisers and shaping them into a strong collaborative technical capability within an innovative culture.
Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure you will also be taked with the management and coordination of projects from initial concept and planning stage through the design stages and to construction. This will entail working closely with external architects, structural, civil, mechanical and electrical consultants as well as internal teams to deliver high quality successful building and infrastructure projects.
With the company becoming fully BIM2+ compliant there will be an emphasis on the successful person having a strong working knowledge of BIM and being proficient with Revit. As for your discipline,
The Head of Engineering shall be engineering degree qualified with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a highly technical environment. Qualifications would underpin an understanding of all design phases, consultancy contracts, project management, cost engineering and innovation management, with a background in building construction and specialising in either Building Services, Civil or Structural engineering, with a decent understanding or experience working with the other disciplines.

There is an option for the successful candidate to be based in either London or Jersey. If the latter is preferred my client can arrange for a relocation bonus and provide the option to work through the Jersey arm of the company which will have huge tax benefits.
