I am currently working on an exceptional opportunity for an outstanding company based in Kent, on the outskirts of London. My client is seeking an intermediate to senior mechanical design engineer to lead projects and assist in the winning of business, whilst maintaining relationships that have been built over the last ten years.
My client is in its tenth year and is looking to further strengthen the team by aggressively recruiting due to a heavy workload and pipeline of projects running into the next four years. They are a multi-discipline building services and environmental engineering specialist consultancy run by three Directors with a vested interest in the people they employ. Employees are supported with becoming Chartered and offered various Continuous Professional Development opportunities. Their portfolio of projects covers multiple sectors, much of which is from repeat business and carrying out full design on projects running into the hundreds of millions. A forward thinking company they utilise industry standard design software, all of their drawings are produced in AutoCAD or REVIT. All design calculations are carried out using Cymap TAS 2014 - the latest in building dynamic simulation software, which combined with REVIT, allows them to offer a BIM level 3 service.
My client is looking for an engineer to slot into a very close knit team in an environment that is collaborative and professional, but also very relaxed. To fit into this family feel environment the ideal candidate should have personality and a real passion for Building Services. They always look to employ the best people and are able to do so by offering exposure to all phases of projects across different sectors, and therefore cross sector experience would be an advantage. This role requires the confidence to be the face of the business, particularly for a more senior engineer. Relevant Degree or equivalent is a must and longevity at one company is also preferred, as is experience using relevant software (AutoCAD, Hevacomp, IES, TAS, and Revit).
