Job Description

A global engineering consultancy that specialise in M&E Engineering are seeking an experienced FM Leader to join their facilities division that provide specialist advice and solutions on all aspects of aftercare of buildings.

This successful division is highly successful and delivering a very client focused service that is tailored to fully understanding the needs and responding in a positive and effective way. Regular client meetings, face to face contact and communication are essential to maintaining rapport and successfully delivering the promised service. Therefore, it is critical you are someone who excels in customer care and has a high level of motivation and commitment.

The team you will be leading is made up of Mechanical & Electrical Engineers who are specialists in the technical and consultancy aspects of the job, so skills in these areas are crucial to the role.

Essential skills & Knowledge include:

  • Degree of equivalent in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical or Environmental Engineering.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of the Facilities Management market.
  • Background in design / installation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical services
  • Previous consultancy experience
  • Experience with financial management, contract management, project management, costing and programming.
  • Ability to work well with both internal and external people and successful team management

The days to day responsibilities for this role will include leading the FM team, working closely with new and established clients, taking and properly interpretting briefs and advising on the best solutions regarding maintenance, life-cycle, operations and hand over issues whilst delivering high quality work that is completed on time and within budget. This will include being able to recognise new opportunities and winning new commissions, working with internal and external colleagues to provide condition surveys, due diligence reports, asset registers, maintenance specifications, maintenance tenders and audits.
