I am working with a global data centre provider who are looking to secure a MEP Design Standards Engineer to their team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer to align their career within the mission critical sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing company standards and guidelines. Working alongside the construction and design team, the engineer will deliver innovative and strategic solutions in relation to the design and delivery of data centre projects in the UK and across the globe.
The role will require an engineer from an MEP engineering design background who will be responsible for pioneering, improving and implementing design standards and engineering guidelines, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, supporting the design programme, design risk management analysis, building regulation and permit submittals, and project quality management.
The ideal candidate will be expected to have an understanding of the entire project development life-cycle from pre-acquisition through to completion and handover.
The successful candidate will have completed a degree within building services, electrical engineering or Mechanical engineering and have an understanding and technical knowledge of power systems or cooling within a building, along with a familiarity of Revit and BIM. Previous exposure of processes within critical environments would also be considered valued, although not essential.
