Due to continued growth and an increase in workload my client based on the boarder of Kent and London is currently looking for a Senior Revit (mechanical) Technician to strengthen their MEP Design engineering and BIM production capability.
My client is a practice of low carbon consulting engineers specialising in mechanical, electrical and public health systems for the built environment. They are committed to engineering excellence and passionate about delivering high quality designs. They are Exor accredited and proud to be consistently listed in the Top 100 Engineers by Building Magazine. They are certified Low Carbon Consultants (LCCs) and Low Carbon Energy Assessors (LCEAs).
They were founded over 15 years ago and have grown from strength to strength in the market working on some very notable projects. The practice has built up a portfolio of major clients from many sectors. They pride themselves on establishing long term relationships with them, working on projects that include: Commercial, Education, Industrial, Financial, Hotels/Leisure, Health, Places of Worship, and Pharmaceutical and Residential property. Both Directors bring a wealth of experience in various project sectors from their time working for some of the largest Building Services consultancies both in the UK and overseas.
This is a very important vacancy for my client as it means supporting the design engineers and leading the CAD division. You will be responsible for bringing your team up to speed with MEP REVIT as well as be the go to. You will be supporting the implementation of BIM practices and procedures as well as delivering work.
My client can offer a very progressive career path and the position will indeed evolve into an even more senior position further down the line. It is important you have experience with managing a team and the ability to communicate well as you will be the layer between the design engineers and your own team. Although my client has enjoyed taking on repeat business, they also attract many companies that require a quick turn around on particular projects due to their reliability and reputation for delivering on time. Therefore, organisation, project management and planning skills, including the ability to juggle multiple task would certainly be an advantage. My client always exceeds client expectations hence the reason why their project pipeline of repeat business is so long. You will be expected to have excellent time and cost management skills in order to plan and achieve delivery to the desired quality.
You must be educated to Degree/HNC level or equivalent with demonstrable experience as a BIM coordinator and hold a professional qualification. It is vital that you have recent experience working in Building Services with a particular focus on mechanical aspects.
