Job Description

My client is an international award winning Building Services Consultancy with a very strong reputation for specialising in leading edge Mechanical, Electrical & Sustainable design solutions over the last 50 years. I am urgently seeking an Associate level mechanical engineer to continue the growth of the London office.

This role will suit a self-motivated and confident individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven track record of exercising commercial judgement together with practical knowledge to deliver positive outcomes. You will be collaborative both externally in design teams and internally with peers, and you will be ambitious and energetic, capable of getting the best out of your team. Although you will lead from the top, you will also benefit from a very supportive network of talented and friendly colleagues.

My client is known for their expertise and reliability for delivering many highly regarded projects across all sectors. Notable projects that the London office has completed and is currently working on include the Battersea Power Station Mixed use development, athletes village for the Olympics, Elephant Park for a global contractor, Lillie Square comprising of Apartments, Townhouses and Penthouses, One the Elephant which is a 37-storey, 124m tall building consisting of 284 apartments and many more prestigious developments.

Upon meeting the director it is easy to appreciate the importance of this role. The office is largely made up of young and dynamic engineers. As an engineer with around ten years' experience and a proven track record of managing projects from conception to completion, you will have full support from colleagues from a design perspective, to a team of directors striving to achieve even more growth.

The type of character my client is looking to bring into the team will have that business winning personality with the ability to build lasting relationships. You will also have a natural ability to lead more junior team members while delegating and really taking on a lot of responsibility while overseeing projects. The London team is around 60 strong so it is important that you can integrate well at all levels. Although technical skills and experience are both important, the Director who oversees everything would like to bring someone on board with a great personality and passion for their job.

With previous consultancy experience, you will be Chartered and have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification. You should have excellent technical knowledge in your primary discipline and a thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.

This is a great opportunity to progress within a company that has been recognised in the industry for delivering on first class projects, offering a clear and defined career pathway for those who have been fortunate enough to work for them
