Job Description

I am currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work for a leading mission critical consultancy. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and innovative individual to join a practice based in Central London. This prospect would suit someone currently at a senior/principal level. You will be driven to take your career on to the next step, becoming an integral part of a forward thinking and innovative office undertaking first class projects.

The London office is looking for a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with at least 8+ years' experience to be a key figure and act as the technical authority for mechanical services design. The role will also entail aspects of project management on major projects whilst developing and managing client relationships, and overseeing the development of mechanical design engineers.

Experience in mission critical and high resilience projects is an advantage as is a willingness to travel. The client has a long history in building services and is an international M&E consultancy, which specialises in a range of mission critical and high technology projects. This provides staff with top of the line projects that are "out of the ordinary" with exciting professional challenges.

The engineer I am looking to speak to should have experience with large scale cooling water and HVAC systems as well as experience of being the technical lead on projects. You should also be familiar with UK regulations and have UK detailed design experience. You will be client facing, technically well rounded and able to lead a team, offering the benefit of your experience to encourage and mentor other engineers. It is vital that you are somebody who has a strong work ethic and motivated to develop not just yourself but the team and company, taking great satisfaction in achieving targets and becoming a successful and integral part of the London office

With previous consultancy experience, you will be a Chartered Engineer, have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Qualification. You should have excellent technical knowledge in your primary discipline and a thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process. This role would be ideally suited to someone who is passionate, versatile, personable and articulate.

With the highest calibre of engineers, the latest design tools, effective support systems that allow my client to compete with the very best in the industry, my client is able to consistently work on the most prestigious projects, varying in size, for several very high profile clients. This is an opportunity not to be missed if you are an engineer looking to work with one of the best mission critical specialists in the UK, as well as have exposure to some of the biggest technology and financial institutions across the globe.
