Due to expansion my client is looking for an ambitious Sustainability Engineer to join their existing team working on several high profile developments across London.
The practice has grown steadily since the 80's, has over 60 staff and is run by 4 partners, each being very hands on. They have a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from individual private houses, large scale urban regeneration, hotels, commercial offices, education facilities and retail/leisure projects, with construction values beyond £200 million. My client is also opening two new offices next year as they continue their rapid growth.
As a Sustainability Engineer you should be able to communicate clearly and effectively with the internal management up to Director Level. You should be qualified with a relevant Building Services Degree and with at least 2/3 years' experience in Building Services. You must be an EPC assessor (residential buildings), have working knowledge of IES thermal modelling, as well as knowledge of BREEAM. Experience of overheating assessments, code for sustainable homes, thermal bridging, and U-value calculations would be an advantage, but not essential.
My client offers a unique place to work, where collaboration and support is provided from Junior through to Director Level. The company is a professional member of the Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers (CIBSE) and actively encourages staff to progress to Chartered status, supported through CPD events and in-house training. An excellent package will be offered to the successful candidate
