We are currently seeking an MEP Design Lead (Buildings) with a Mechanical Building Services bias in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on behalf of a PSL client. Due to clearance and visa restrictions, this position is only available to British Citizens.

An expansive, contemporary downtown mega project spanning 19km2 that is part of the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative. Central to this endeavour is a 400m2 cube-shaped supertall skyscraper, capable of accommodating the equivalent of 20 Empire State Buildings.
This downtown is grounded in the principles of sustainability featuring green areas, pedestrian-friendly paths, cycling routes, and eco zones to enhance residents’ well-being and promote healthy lifestyles and community engagement.
The project will include an iconic museum, a cutting-edge technology and design university, and a multipurpose immersive theatre among 80 state of the art entertainment and culture venues, 300k m2 of retail space, and home for hundreds of thousands of residents.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers in the Fire & Life Safety discipline within the Specialist Services team.

Project Management:
Take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to completion. Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines, and ensure successful project delivery within these constraints.
Client Engagement:
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, propose innovative solutions, and manage client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Design Excellence:
Drive design excellence and innovation within the FSL discipline. Ensure that designs meet regulatory requirements while integrating sustainability and energy efficiency principles.
Risk Assessment:
Conduct thorough risk assessments for projects, identifying potential hazards and developing mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of occupants and assets.
Code Compliance:
Stay updated on local, national, and international building codes and regulations related to FSL. Ensure that all projects adhere to these codes.
Quality Control:
Implement rigorous quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of design deliverables. Review and approve project documents to maintain consistency and quality.
Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including architects, structural engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless project integration.
Training and Development:

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering from a recognised University; Master’s degree preferred.

An independent multi-disciplinary consultancy providing engineering services for the built environment. They are working on a variety of large-scale projects in a number of sectors including hotels & leisure, commercial, education, fit-out, healthcare, infrastructure, residential, and retail. As a result of growth, they are looking for an Associate Electrical Engineer in their offices in Dubai.
The Role:
As an Associate, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering designs for a range of project types and sizes. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and support staff delivering a consistently high-quality service for clients, and ensuring that repeat and new business opportunities are developed. You should have c10 years of experience in the relevant field, leading the design of large-scale MV/LV schemes particularly related to hospitality, retail, or healthcare. You will be an ambassador for the company, representing us at project interviews/meetings, and taking part in the marketing practice generally.
The role is instrumental in helping to continue to grow and develop a team of technically competent engineers within this high-performing sector, as well as seeking new opportunities to develop the business.
