Job Description

Our client is a member of a leading global network of design professionals providing a range of building system design and energy analysis services.

The Associate forms a key part of the leadership team and is responsible for managing his/her respective Project Design Team. The Associate provides leadership, technical support, and management resources essential to for design decision-making and team management accountability.

The Associate:

  • Works with the Leadership Team to control and coordinate business development, sales/marketing, team targets, team personnel, technical design and related activities.
  • Develops, establishes, and administers procedures and systems pertaining to team management matters.
  • Prepares workload, sales forecasts and team resources/schedule for administrative and managerial functions.
  • Serves as the principal liaison with selected clients or major projects.
  • Upholds and maintains design standards and will be responsible for engineering, specifications, documentation, standardization, quality assurance, cost and value analysis and the broader aspects of building services (plus role of Managing Consultant as required).

The Associate will be fully responsible and accountable for their design team. The Associate will review staffing regularly and distribute tasks effectively and consistent with staff skill sets. The Associate will work closely with Human Resources and make recommendations for staff hiring, terminations, and issues related to performance discipline.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Specific building systems design experience, inclusive of Net Zero low carbon projects .
  • Superior interpersonal skills with clients and staff.

  • Communication and coaching skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Professional Engineer (CEng, PEng, PE or equivalent).
  • LEED Accreditation.
