The Role As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across multiple project stages.   • Design and development of electrical building services systems across all project stages
  • Production of detailed design calculations, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Attendance at design team and client meetings, as well as site visits when required
  • Collaboration with internal teams and external consultants to deliver coordinated design solutions
  • Use of industry-standard software including AutoCAD and Revit

  Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience within Building Services Engineering
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services design
  • Demonstrable experience working on a range of building projects
  • Experience attending client and design team meetings
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, with some experience of Revit desirable
  • Excellent communication, IT, and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive and motivated approach, with the ability to bring creative thinking to projects

  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical calculation software.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting design, fire alarm systems, and sustainable design principles.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively.

Their Building Services team require a Senior Electrical Engineer to take full responsibility for the electrical services and the overall coordination of all services of a wide variety of projects. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary design team for several clients covering a range of activities from project feasibility through to detailed design and construction support. This exciting role will involve leading teams working on demanding large-scale projects both in the UK and potentially overseas. Working closely with clients, architects and other members of the professional team you will take an active role in establishing the brief, leading the design and developing potential solutions in order to assist in delivering high quality projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. To succeed in this role, you should be proactive and able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision or technical support.   • An electrical engineering degree.
