Job Description

A well-established engineering and consultancy practice is seeking an experienced Senior Revit Technician to become part of its Building Services team in Manchester. The company provides integrated engineering, environmental, and planning solutions on projects throughout the UK, covering sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare, education, retail, industrial, and mixed-use developments.

The Opportunity

This position is suited to an experienced MEP Revit professional who can contribute to the development and coordination of detailed BIM models and technical documentation for building services projects. You will support schemes from initial design stages through to project completion, ensuring all models and drawings meet required standards and project objectives.

Working alongside engineers and wider project teams, you will help deliver coordinated and buildable mechanical, electrical, and public health designs while promoting BIM best practice and assisting junior team members in their development.

Main Duties

  • Create and manage detailed Revit models and technical drawings for MEP systems
  • Develop layouts for HVAC, electrical services, pipework, plant areas, and containment systems
  • Collaborate with design engineers to convert technical concepts into coordinated construction-ready models
  • Carry out multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection using BIM software
  • Maintain BIM procedures, templates, and modelling standards across projects
  • Review models and drawings to ensure quality, consistency, and technical accuracy
  • Provide guidance and support to junior technicians within the team
  • Participate in coordination meetings, design reviews, and project discussions

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Revit Technician role within the Building Services or MEP sector
  • Strong capability using Revit MEP and AutoCAD software
  • Experience contributing to projects across sectors such as commercial, healthcare, education, residential, industrial, or defence
  • Good technical understanding of building services engineering and construction processes
  • Familiarity with BIM Level 2 workflows and collaborative project delivery
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines across multiple projects
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Advantageous Experience

  • Knowledge of Navisworks or similar coordination software
  • Understanding of ISO 19650 standards
  • Experience working on secure or defence-related projects, or ability to obtain security clearance
