Our client, established in 2002, is an independent Mechanical & Electrical design consultancy that provides the full range of MEP Building Services from 2 locations in Berkshire and London. The Senior leadership team are actively involved in day-to-day client delivery, and the entire team's professional and personable approach focuses on offering clients first-class solutions, and bespoke services. They have built strong teams that operate in a collaborative atmosphere by recruiting technically sound engineers with a passion for excellence and giving them autonomy, responsibility, and support. They are now looking to bring additional expertise to the mechanical team with the appointment of an Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer. The main responsibilities are in the areas of project delivery. You should be able to prepare calculations/specifications and drawings, collaborate with other disciplines, provide technical expertise, provide support to less experienced engineers, ensure quality standards are maintained, and adopt and promote the company ethos.
Role: The Senior Electrical Engineer will excel in engineering design and be comfortable leading projects from inception to completion, working with minimal supervision. They will also assist in planning and managing an appropriate resource to deliver projects. They will prepare conceptual designs of HV and LV electrical systems, lighting, fire alarms etc and be responsible for equipment selection and calculations and assist with the preparation of the client brief. The role also requires that they are confident giving technical presentations to the professional team as well as managing site coordination meetings with contractors. The Senior Electrical Engineer will work across multiple projects at any one time, and will prioritise work to ensure timely delivery. In addition, the Senior Electrical Engineer will work with the directors to contribute to the development of improved standards and procedures within the company. Responsibilities: Design
