  What You’ll Be Doing:

  • You will be working on a varied portfolio of projects both in the UK and internationally across a varied portfolio of projects across key sectors.
  • Designing electrical engineering systems at the highest level using the latest software design packages. Competency in AutoCAD and ideally experience with REVIT.
  • Projects span a cross section of sectors including Education, Science and Research, Healthcare, Leisure, Residential, Commercial, Defence and high-end mixed-use developments.
  • You will lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
  • Take responsibility for solid technical delivery in your work either alone or part of a team.
  • Looking at new ways of working and taking time out for innovation and research ensuring we keep abreast of our competitors.

  What We Are Looking For:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent for a career in building services engineering.
  • You will have experience in using recognised design software tools such as REVIT and ideally have exposure to MagiCAD.
  • Have great communication skills that can adapt both to external parties and clients but also within the team.
  • Understand project needs and be able to manage the full delivery.
  • You will have recognised qualifications in electrical services design, and either be working towards Chartered Status, or have an interest in doing so.
  • 2 to 4 years experience.

   

  • Experience of people management is desirable.
  • Future flexibility will be needed for regular co-operation, travel and inter-office working.

• Senior Electrical Engineer

  Role: Our client is a multi-disciplined engineering consultancy practice that specialise in mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) infrastructure projects, delivering innovative solutions across complex building environments. They are part of a wider engineering brand that has a long-standing reputation for engineering excellence.  They provide a range of specialist infrastructure design and operational support services, in critical power systems, especially the integration of new systems into existing complex environments, including acute healthcare, environment, secure IT, and education projects. Accredited and active members of many professional institutes, they are a registered designer for network substations up to and including 33kV and ensure business continuity for mission critical infrastructures. They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the development and implementation of compliant strategies within their projects. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects while shaping the next generation of engineering talent. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present technical evidence, calculations, and design support for healthcare specific building services systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients and external design teams (architectural, structural, quantity surveying).
  • Work closely with internal disciplines including mechanical, electrical, public health, and sustainability.
  • Mentor and guide junior and intermediate engineers within the Power Infrastructure design team.
  • Design of electrical systems, including design calculations, specifications & schedules and technical drawings
  • Act as a project leader on multiple projects
  • Technical review of electrical system designs and specifications, completed by junior/intermediate team members
  • Undertake site surveys
  • Coordination with external design teams; architectural, structural, PQS, CDM, etc and internal team; CAD, Revit, electrical, public health, sustainability disciplines.
  • Monitoring project costs and time & maintaining project deliverables.

   Requirements: 

  • HNC/Degree qualification preferred - Electrical or building services – Experience in lieu of qualifications will be considered
  • Working towards Chartership.
  • Professional membership of relevant institute preferred (CIBSE, IET, IHEEM)
  • Highly Experienced in Electrical Engineering services systems designs across a range of building types and in particular health buildings.
  • Demonstratable experience of power infrastructure system design
  • Significant experience operating at Intermediate Engineer role
  • Client relationship building skills.
  • Switchgear and controls experience preferred but not essential
  • Experience using Microsoft Office; Excel, MS Project etc
  • Experience with calculation software; Trimble, Etap, Dialux or equivalents
  • Knowledge of British standards, building regulations documents, CDM regulations
  • Knowledge of HTMs would also be of benefit but not essential.

As a result of growth, they are looking for an Associate Electrical Engineer in their offices in Dubai. The Role: As an Associate, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering designs for a range of project types and sizes. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and support staff delivering a consistently high-quality service for clients, and ensuring that repeat and new business opportunities are developed. You should have c10 years of experience in the relevant field, leading the design of large-scale MV/LV schemes particularly related to hospitality, retail, or healthcare.  You will be an ambassador for the company, representing us at project interviews/meetings, and taking part in the marketing practice generally. The role is instrumental in helping to continue to grow and develop a team of technically competent engineers within this high-performing sector, as well as seeking new opportunities to develop the business. Responsible for managing all aspects of a portfolio of jobs as Project Manager in conjunction with a project director or Associate Director on major/complex projects undertaking the role of Project Engineer.   • You should possess excellent technical knowledge in your primary discipline and a thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process
  • 10-12 years of experience in the relevant field with a proven record in leading the electrical design of large-scale MV / LV schemes particularly related to hospitality, retail, or healthcare
  • You should have experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment, leading, motivating, and supervising junior/senior engineers
  • Experience in leading Revit delivery is essential
  • With excellent interpersonal and communication skills you will have a proven ability in negotiating positive outcomes, resource planning, motivation, and management
  • Ability to develop good relationships both internal and external
  • Previous consultancy experience, and experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment
