  Our client is Building Services consultancy providing single source solutions to the construction industry, property owners and property managers.  They provide solutions on all aspects of Building Services Commissioning and Client Verification and have been at the forefront of Commissioning Management for over 35 years.  As a result of growth they are looking for a Lead Commissioning Manager to join the team. Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Review all commissioning related documentation
  • Review the testing and commissioning process and plan
  • Identify risks to the project and any potential opportunities
  • Review and report against installation progress
  • Review trade contractors method statements
  • Attend regular commissioning meetings
  • Attend off-site and factory witness tests
  • Witness system pre-commissioning and setting to work activities
  • Witness commissioning activities
  • Witness of all integrated system testing
  • Witness of all performance / environmental testing
  • Witness testing of life safety systems in conjunction with relevant Statutory Authorities
  • Provide detailed reports to the client at agreed frequency
  • Issue a final summary report to the project team confirming that the services have been correctly installed and commissioned to specification
  • Identify any outstanding works, snags or potential latent risks
  • System commissionability reviews
  • Development of the commissioning plan

  When applying for this role as Commissioning Manager you will have skills and/or experience in the following items in order to be successful:

  • Degree or HND in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven UK experience in commissioning management.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and integration within building environments.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of British standards and building regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Development of the commissioning programme, including identification of the critical path and construction milestone drivers
  • Production and installation monitoring to specification and standards
  • Production of monitoring documents to track factory acceptance tests, method statement production, testing, commissioning and final acceptance and sign-off

• Revit Technician

  ROLE OVERVIEW: Revit Technician to work alongside our MEP engineering teams to deliver accurate high-quality MEP Revit models and drawings sheets in line with agreed standards, while working closely to agreed company Revit/BIM protocols. RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and Project Interface

  • Model MEP services on various projects using Revit, Dynamo, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
  • Implement best practice procedures.
  • Set up and utilise templates.
  • Work using central files and manage collaborative models.
  • Create and modify dynamic blocks and parametric families.
  • Liaise closely with the engineering teams to deliver accurate 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Coordinate drawing production in line with agreed project requirements in conjunction with all other disciplines, while delivering to agreed programme.
  • Liaise with the external teams relating to model exchange, clash detection/resolution, and general queries, etc.
  • Carry out regular (weekly) clash detection and resolution.

  Management

  • Monitor workload against deliverables.
  • Provide regular updates to the line manager.
  • Utilise a high level of oral and written communication to ensure clarity of communication both internally and externally.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance procedures.

  Health & Safety

  • Report all accidents/incidents or near misses.
  • Always ensure adherence to all H&S requirements.

  Technical

  • Work to improve knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health Engineering terminology, sufficient to understand their impact in the overall design, and converse at a reasonable level.
  • Work to improve working knowledge of Revit, Dynamo, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
  • Undertake Continual Professional Development by reading technical journals, attending relevant technical seminars from time to time and attending in house seminars aimed at increasing technical and operational knowledge.

  Financial

  • Maintain the required level of utilisation and complete timesheet on a weekly basis.

  Role: Our client is a multi-disciplined engineering consultancy practice that specialise in mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) infrastructure projects, delivering innovative solutions across complex building environments. They are part of a wider engineering brand that has a long-standing reputation for engineering excellence.  They provide a range of specialist infrastructure design and operational support services, in critical power systems, especially the integration of new systems into existing complex environments, including acute healthcare, environment, secure IT, and education projects. Accredited and active members of many professional institutes, they are a registered designer for network substations up to and including 33kV and ensure business continuity for mission critical infrastructures. They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the development and implementation of compliant strategies within their projects. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects while shaping the next generation of engineering talent. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present technical evidence, calculations, and design support for healthcare specific building services systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients and external design teams (architectural, structural, quantity surveying).
  • Work closely with internal disciplines including mechanical, electrical, public health, and sustainability.
  • Mentor and guide junior and intermediate engineers within the Power Infrastructure design team.
  • Design of electrical systems, including design calculations, specifications & schedules and technical drawings
  • Act as a project leader on multiple projects
  • Technical review of electrical system designs and specifications, completed by junior/intermediate team members
  • Undertake site surveys
  • Coordination with external design teams; architectural, structural, PQS, CDM, etc and internal team; CAD, Revit, electrical, public health, sustainability disciplines.
  • Monitoring project costs and time & maintaining project deliverables.

   Requirements: 

  • HNC/Degree qualification preferred - Electrical or building services – Experience in lieu of qualifications will be considered
  • Working towards Chartership.
  • Professional membership of relevant institute preferred (CIBSE, IET, IHEEM)
  • Highly Experienced in Electrical Engineering services systems designs across a range of building types and in particular health buildings.
  • Demonstratable experience of power infrastructure system design
  • Significant experience operating at Intermediate Engineer role
  • Client relationship building skills.
  • Switchgear and controls experience preferred but not essential
  • Experience using Microsoft Office; Excel, MS Project etc
  • Experience with calculation software; Trimble, Etap, Dialux or equivalents
  • Knowledge of British standards, building regulations documents, CDM regulations
  • Knowledge of HTMs would also be of benefit but not essential.
