    We have a requirement for an Electrical Design Engineer to join and assist an independent design constancy in London on a contract basis. As an Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for the designs across several client projects. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplined team. You will be responsible for the following:

    • Some direct work with the client from concept/feasibility stage
    • Conduct initial and detailed designs on major large scale projects
    • Cable calculations, Lighting calculations and power distribution.
    • Electrical Designs on several projects across different sectors

    • Assist senior staff in feasibility studies, concept, and scheme design stages.
    • Attend design team meetings alongside other staff members.
    • Inspect and report on mechanical building services systems.
    • Undertake Mechanical design work consisting of surveys, design, drawings, and specifications for projects. Work in conjunction with other design team members as required as part of an overall project team. Ensure the design and maintenance of building systems meet legislative and health and safety requirements.
    • Utilise Building Services software for calculations.
    • Produce marked-up drawings for CAD by others or direct CAD design drawings for issue.
    • Select and specify products, equipment, and installation standards relating to Mechanical services suitable for the costing and installation by Contractors.
    • Attend project design meetings, technical meetings, value engineering workshops, and risk workshops as required by the project in conjunction with more senior staff.
    Who we're looking for: To be successful in this role you will most likely have a degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering and experience commensurate with the underpinning and knowledge requirements for Incorporated Engineer aligned to either IMechE or CIBSE requirements. Ability to design principle mechanical systems taken from a concept level of design through to detailed design (BSRIA BG6 Stage 4A) including:
    • Ventilation design
    • Chilled water
    • Comfort Cooling design
    • Domestic hot and cold water systems / Public Health
    • Heating systems
    • Above Ground drainage
    • HVAC control principles
    • Use of  Hevacomp / IES or equivalent
    • Ability to view and interpret drawings in AutoCAD

    One of London’s leading M&E Design consultancies needs assistance from an IES Thermal Modeller on a contract remote working assignment. The role will be primarily to undertake modelling work in IES to attain compliance with; Part L, TM59, TM52 and BREEAM. Thermal Bridging Measurements for SAP and working as a member of the Sustainability Team to deliver planning submissions, design work for compliance and to assist with ventilation design. Key Deliverables 

    • Working with the team and engineers to gain a comprehensive brief in order to undertake modelling work.

     Key Responsibilities
