    I have a requirement for an Electrical Design Engineer to join and assist an independent design constancy in Manchester on a contract basis.

    As a Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for the designs across several client projects. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.

    You will be responsible for the following:

    • Some direct work with the client from concept/feasibility stage
    • Conduct initial and detailed designs on major large scale projects
    • Cable calculations, Lighting calculations and power distribution.
    • Electrical Designs on several projects across different sectors

    To be successful when applying for the role you will possess the following skills and/or experience:

    • Electrical Design (Building Services) Engineering experience
    • Knowledge of British Standards and Building regulations
    • Good communication skills, both oral and written

  • Electrical Resident Engineer

    I'm currently working on a long-term contract opportunity for a Resident Engineer (Electrical bias), working on a large project based in central London.

    My client seeks an experienced engineer who can think beyond their own discipline, as the project has a number of buildings within the portfolio. The candidate should have a natural tendency to contribute to collaborative problem solving working with both clients and contractors.

    The key duties of this role will consist of verification of installations, method statements for inspection and testing procedures for utilities, electrical, mechanical, public health and fire services, onsite inspections, testing and witnessing of all MEP Services installations, identifying any potential coordination issues and proposing solutions, leading progress meetings with client and delivery contractors, producing reports detailing technical compliance, programme and quality of installation.

    This role will will be on a fulltime basis with an immediate start.

    Client liaison is a massive part of this role so someone who can influence technical meetings whilst maintaining strong relationships is essential.

    As the Senior Engineer, you will need more than 5 years' experience of design within the commercial arena. You will need good technical skills and they must be fully proficient experience of Hevacomp & IES. They will need a good working knowledge of building (HVAC) design.

    You will assist with the production of fully coordinated Revit MEP Drawings & Autocad MEP 2D Drawings. Assist in clash detection & model coordination meetings. Organise and prioritise workload. Ensure consistent technical and drawing quality to company BIM standards to agreed deadlines. Act as project co-ordination for certain projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Carry out Revit MEP Modelling & Revit Drawing creation, 2D CAD drawing work, liaising with the lead engineer as necessary

    General Duties
