Key Responsibilities:  Leadership and Team Management:

  Design and Engineering:

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate technology seamlessly into building designs.

  Client Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their technology needs and objectives.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations, presenting solutions in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and project success.

  Project Management:

  • Monitor project progress and address any issues that may arise during the design and implementation phases.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

  Quality Assurance:

  • Implement quality control processes to ensure the highest standard of work.
  • Review project documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  Documentation and Reporting:

  • Create comprehensive project reports, including design specifications, engineering plans, and progress updates.
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation for future reference.

  Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications in relevant areas, such as RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) or equivalent.
  • Current member of the Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) Minimum of 15 years of experience in ICT and Audio Visual design and engineering.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading teams and managing complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in design and engineering software and tools.

  Are you an ambitious and talented MEP CAD Technician looking for a new opportunity based in Southwest London? We are seeking an experienced MEP CAD technician for a leading multi-disciplinary construction consultancy based in Southwest London to work on some very exciting projects across central and southern England. This role is to produce accurate Mechanical and Electrical Designs drawings and coordinate the design with the MEP teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
  • To ensure all MEP CAD drawing work is fully coordinated, avoiding any clashes, and accurately integrated within the MEP design.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to produce accurate and effective designs.
  • Ensure all work is completed to high quality standards and within project timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of all drawings and related documentation.
  • To ensure accurate referencing of drawings including updating revision status and ensure all drawing issues are accompanied with a drawing issue register.

  Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant qualification in CAD or engineering.
  • Experience in the use of MEP AutoCAD and other relevant software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience in drafting all typical MEP systems, i.e. HVAC, LTHW, BCWS, LV distribution, life safety systems, M&E Plant rooms etc.

These range from building digital twins to traditional mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) advice and design. This unique combination helps asset owners and managers move from simply setting sustainability targets to achieving real, net-zero outcomes. They are an innovative and forward-thinking company involved in unique software development and research partnerships with local universities. Role: Seeking to recruit an ambitious and talented individual to help the directors lead on the next phase of rapid growth as a company. The Associate Director will take an active role in developing the business and services, managing and prioritising client requirements as well as lead and develop a small but rapidly growing team of digital engineering and sustainability consultants. A key remit of the job will be to ensure that all IES modelling outputs are accurate and to the highest standards. The successful applicant will also be able to balance the legislative requirements with the innovative thinking required to meet and beat the net zero carbon challenge in existing buildings. The role will also require experience and knowledge of ApacheHVAC, an understanding of how buildings really operate and experience in delivering BREEAM credits. They are a delivery partner for NABERS UK and the successful applicant will take a key role in shaping their service offer in relation to this new rating system and how it interacts with EPC requirements. Their conceptual designs are highly likely to be implemented in the assets they support which makes this a unique and exciting opportunity to see projects through from concept to full operation and to play a key role in the drive to achieve real net-zero. Responsibilities:

  • Use their initiative with minimal supervision
  • Accurately interpret client instructions and be confident in multi-stakeholder discussions
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a proactive and coordinated manner ensuring deadlines are met and any crises are dealt with calmly and decisively.
  • Supervise and manage a high-performing team; helping them develop their skills.
  • Identify and lead on business development opportunities.
  • Issue clear and concise client-facing reports and technical documents.

  Essential skills:

  • A degree in engineering or the sciences (BEng or BSc)
  • Three years' experience in IES VE
  • CIBSE Level 5 (EPC/BRUKL) accreditation
  • Awareness of NABERS UK
  • Experience of producing some or all of the following:

  1. BREEAM technical credits (ENE, HEA04 etc.)
  2. BRUKL reports and energy strategies
  3. NZC/Energy audits
  4. Life Cycle Cost (LCC) planning
  5. Life Cycle Assessment calculations

  Desirable skills:

  • MCIBSE
  • MEI Chartered Energy Manager
  • CEng or IEng
  • IES VE Apache HVAC
  • ESOS Lead Assessor
  • BREEAM Assessor
