  • Assisting and contributing to the design of electrical building services systems
  • Producing drawings, calculations and technical documentation with increasing autonomy
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across a range of projects
  • Attending site visits, surveys and client/project meetings
  • Supporting project delivery to meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Developing knowledge of industry standards, regulations and best practice
  • Using design software such as AutoCAD and Revit

  Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a building services or consultancy environment
  • Good understanding of electrical design principles
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Revit (or similar design tools)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive approach with a willingness to take ownership and continue learning

They have been providing sustainable environmental building services engineering throughout the UK in central government services, pharmaceutical, healthcare, veterinary research, manufacturing, education, and commercial sectors for over thirty years. Duties & Experience:

  • Preparing Revit models and or CAD drawings from Engineer’s sketches.
  • Preparing drawing packages for issue to clients and external parties.
  • Communicate with Engineers & other members of the CAD team
  • Experience in the latest version of Revit and AutoCAD.
  • A genuine interest in M&E draughting.
  • At least 2 years experience using Revit.
  • Good communicator with the ability to work within a team.

They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design engineer to join their expanding team to help deliver some of the outstanding buildings and projects that they work on including schemes across the education, high rise residential, large-scale commercial, stadia, and healthcare sectors. While a solid technical understanding of Mechanical Building Services is required, they are looking for an individual with the ability to think laterally and apply learning and experience to new challenges.  It's also vitally important every member of the team shares their values which embodies their approach to project delivery.   Role: The purpose of this role is to provide the Mechanical Design and Technical expertise in supporting project delivery.  Working closely with the Project team, Project Leader and wider Design Team whilst contributing to consistency in delivery and technical knowledge.   • Providing support and leadership to Junior/Trainee Engineers.
  • Leading the development of the design aspects within your control to achieve the desired outcomes in the most efficient manner.
  • Consistent application of the latest learning and development initiatives and opportunities as identified through the development process.

  Technical Standards

  • Carrying out design calculations and providing technical input to ensure solutions are correctly implemented.
  • Creating drawings, reports and specifications that clearly demonstrate the requirements of the system/project to communicate information appropriately.
  • Striving to develop knowledge and understand of all aspects of building services design to provide a greater depth of expertise.
  • Utilising digital delivery resource in ensuring consistency in quality of delivered material whilst meeting project deadlines.
  • Recording and imparting knowledge and lessons learnt to the wider team for the benefit of all.
  • Utilise technical excellence and latest industry thinking within project delivery.
  • Ensuring the project QA process is adhered to and utilised by default.
