  We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a London County Council on a long-term (ongoing) contract basis. This is a hybrid role, involving work from home, visits to sites, and time spent at the council’s offices. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys and inspections
  • Prepare detailed reports and technical documentation
  • Design and review electrical systems for a range of building types, including:
    • Office buildings
    • Listed and heritage properties
    • Leisure centres and libraries
    • Residential developments

  Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – confident writing reports and leading meetings
  • Proven experience in electrical design, specification writing, and contractor management
  • In-depth understanding of Building Regulations and relevant standards
  • Professional membership (e.g., CIBSE or IET) preferred
  • Familiarity with JCT contracts and AutoCAD is an advantage

• Senior Public Health Engineer

The Role:

  • Design, manage and supervise assigned projects, establish client brief, technical requirements, scope of works, cost plans, and agree deliverables.
  • Liaise with the design team to produce sustainable co-ordinated designs for plumbing, water supply, drainage, and sanitation systems in a variety of buildings.
  • Produce concept and detailed Public Health design drawings, and prepare specifications, reports, and schedules.
  • Site supervision to completion, ensuring projects are undertaken in accordance with design briefs, budgets, and completion deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with British Standards, Building Regulations, CIBSE Guidelines, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Work as a part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, establish rapport, maintain excellent client and project team relationships, and provide positive contribution to design/project meetings.

  Requirements: You should have extensive experience in the following systems and their applications in a variety of project settings:

  • Domestic hot and cold water systems
  • Grey and rainwater harvesting systems

  Client: This organisation provides creative, sustainable and energy efficient design solutions from concept through to delivery for national contractors, end users and developers.  They have an impressive portfolio of MEP schemes (up to £80m) and are growing from strength to strength in a sector dominating the Engineering industry. They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design engineer to join their expanding team to help deliver some of the outstanding buildings and projects that they work on including schemes across the education, high rise residential, large-scale commercial, stadia, and healthcare sectors. While a solid technical understanding of Mechanical Building Services is required, they are looking for an individual with the ability to think laterally and apply learning and experience to new challenges.  It's also vitally important every member of the team shares their values which embodies their approach to project delivery.   Role: The purpose of this role is to provide the Mechanical Design and Technical expertise in supporting project delivery.  Working closely with the Project team, Project Leader and wider Design Team whilst contributing to consistency in delivery and technical knowledge.   • Carrying out design calculations and providing technical input to ensure solutions are correctly implemented.
  • Creating drawings, reports and specifications that clearly demonstrate the requirements of the system/project to communicate information appropriately.
  • Striving to develop knowledge and understand of all aspects of building services design to provide a greater depth of expertise.
  • Utilising digital delivery resource in ensuring consistency in quality of delivered material whilst meeting project deadlines.
  • Recording and imparting knowledge and lessons learnt to the wider team for the benefit of all.
  • Utilise technical excellence and latest industry thinking within project delivery.
  • Ensuring the project QA process is adhered to and utilised by default.
