  Europes leading design, engineering, environment and regulatory consultancy organisation employing c22,000 staff require an experienced Public Health Project Engineer to join their multidisciplinary Building Services design team. You will be required to support the delivery of a wide variety of projects for several key clients covering a range of activities from project feasibility through to detailed design and construction support. Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for development of practical public health design solutions across a wide variety of challenging and prestigious projects;
  • Close liaison with project teams to produce coherent and coordinated information;
  • Representing the organisation with clients, design teams, and contractors;
  • Investigating new and emerging technologies and applying practically;
  • Provide technical guidance, support and training to colleagues and assist in mentoring and development of others;
  • Taking responsibility for production of high-quality Revit and AutoCAD work;
  • Quality Control for CAD/BIM production and adherence to company CAD/BIM standards;
  • To be able to work in close collaboration and co-ordinate activities with project managers, team leaders, team members, and other disciplines and have an appreciation of their role;
  • To work in both supervised and unsupervised environments ensuring that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and carried out in accordance within agreed timescales and within agreed budgets;
  • Complying with project and Client protocols;
  • To adhere to the company Health and Safety Policy.

  Professional Membership and Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline;
  • Progressing towards or membership of an appropriate professional body (desirable).

  Qualities:

  • Experience of Public Health design to British Standards and within a UK consultancy or contractor environment;
  • Ability to develop technical design schematics and layout drawings, supported by engineering calculations;
  • Experience of confidently managing production of design information in both 2D and 3D environments;
  • Ideally an excellent working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD;
  • Able to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members and to produce reports in plain English;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and seek assistance when required;
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure that timescales are met;
  • Good problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions;

They are seeking a Senior Electrical Design engineer to join their expanding team to help deliver some of the outstanding buildings and projects that they work on including schemes across the education, high rise residential, large-scale commercial, stadia, and healthcare sectors. While a solid technical understanding of Electrical Building Services is required, they are looking for an individual with the ability to think laterally and apply learning and experience to new challenges.  It's also vitally important every member of the team shares their values which embodies their approach to project delivery. • Senior Electrical Engineer

  • Lead building services design projects within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Collaborating with other disciplines to deliver complete scheme designs.
  • Take ownership of resolving technical challenges and troubleshooting issues that arise.
  • Stay up to date of advancements in building services technology and industry trends, applying knowledge to drive continuous improvement in design methodologies and processes.

  Duties:

  • Proficient in undertaking design work through all RIBA Stages including feasibility report, concept designs, spatial coordination, detailed design, construction monitoring, and handover.
  • Ensuring compliance with UK building regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Provide expertise in selecting and specifying mechanical equipment, materials and components, considering factors like performance, cost, and sustainability goals.
  • Delivering or inputting into decarbonisation, sustainability and net-zero carbon strategies.

  Skills and requirements:

  • Accredited Building Services degree and significant experience in a similar role.
  • Working towards IEng of CEng with CIBSE, IET or IMechE.
  • Ability to work using their own initiative with minimal supervision on all technical aspects of the role.
  • Excellent communication with ability to articulate complicated issues to clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to inspire confidence both internally and externally, and then use this to strengthen client relationships.
  • Ambition and willingness to learn while demonstrating a high level of diligence and organisational skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of British Standards, codes of practice and relevant design guidance and standards.
  • Software experience: - AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/Relux, Trimble Pro-Design, Bluebeam
