Their head office is in the West Midlands but many of the teamwork 100% remotely and are required to travel across the UK to visit buildings. Travel to head office including an overnight stay to attend team meetings is required once every two months. The Role: This is an excellent opportunity for skilled electrical engineer to join their team in Birmingham and play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative electrical design solutions for some of the most exciting building projects in the UK and internationally. Working across a variety of sectors including Government, Critical Systems, Healthcare, Workplace and Residential, you will work in a team of expert engineers and technicians and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to help manage the delivery of technically-excellent, profitable projects for high profile public and private clients. You’ll have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop and with accredited professional development programmes from CIBSE and IET, you’ll be fully supported towards achieving chartership. Qualifications: Educated to degree level in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng or equivalent), and having gained relevant experience within a consultancy environment (design and coordination of electrical distribution and power generation, lighting, security systems etc), you should be well versed in the use of relevant design software including ProDesign (Amtech) and ideally, Revit and Dialux. You have proven ability in producing low energy design solutions, carrying out site inspections and surveys, detail design development, and crucially – you have a passion for creative and intuitive design. Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
