Responsibilities & Qualifications: You will advise clients on fire strategy for their building assets so your detailed knowledge of current UK building codes, standards and regulations is imperative. This knowledge will enable you to deliver projects autonomously and as a team collaborating with colleagues. Other tasks you will be involved include Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling, review and mark-up design plans, zone modelling, producing fire strategy documents and presenting your findings and reports to clients. This will enable you to influence decision making and designs to ensure compliance and safety. You don’t need to have completed a Fire Safety or Fire Engineering degree that are currently being offered by universities such as Lancashire, Edinburgh and Ulster although if you have fantastic. More important is a couple of years practical experience delivering fire engineering and safety advice and guidance to UK clients. Summary: We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate MEP Design Manager to be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary engineering team in London. You will be required to work autonomously or with a team to develop the successful projects through clear strategy and proactive commitment nationally and internationally. The role involves review and management of the MEP engineering disciplines and MEP delivery of large-scale projects, attending project meetings, overseeing MEP engineering activities, and ensuring design completeness and quality compliance. The role will provide crucial technical support, contribute to project reporting, and represent the company professionally. ROLE OVERVIEW: The BIM Technical Manager role entails taking ownership of production of our BIM models (and also all 2D and 3D drawings) to ensure that they are delivered to a consistently high quality across all projects and in accordance with agreed programs. The BIM Technical Manager will also drive the organisation’s transition to BIM with the ultimate goal that the workstreams of the MEP engineers and BIM Technicians is seamless. To achieve this all engineers will need to be fully conversant in Revit and all supporting software, in order to deliver coordinated BIM models (and also 3D drawings) from inception to completion of future projects. The BIM/CAD Manager is required to identify, influence and implement change, as well as keeping abreast of developments within the industry. RESPONSIBILITIES: Management
