They require an experienced Public Health Project Engineer to join their multidisciplinary Building Services design team in Maidenhead. You will be required to support the delivery of a wide variety of projects for several key clients covering a range of activities from project feasibility through to detailed design and construction support. Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for development of practical public health design solutions across a wide variety of challenging and prestigious projects;
  • Close liaison with project teams to produce coherent and coordinated information;
  • Representing the organisation with clients, design teams, and contractors;
  • Investigating new and emerging technologies and applying practically;
  • Provide technical guidance, support and training to colleagues and assist in mentoring and development of others;
  • Taking responsibility for production of high-quality Revit and AutoCAD work;
  • Quality Control for CAD/BIM production and adherence to company CAD/BIM standards;
  • To be able to work in close collaboration and co-ordinate activities with project managers, team leaders, team members, and other disciplines and have an appreciation of their role;
  • To work in both supervised and unsupervised environments ensuring that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and carried out in accordance within agreed timescales and within agreed budgets;
  • Complying with project and Client protocols;
  • To adhere to the company Health and Safety Policy.

  Professional Membership and Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline;
  • Progressing towards or membership of an appropriate professional body (desirable).

  Qualities:

  • Experience of Public Health design to British Standards and within a UK consultancy or contractor environment;
  • Ability to develop technical design schematics and layout drawings, supported by engineering calculations;
  • Experience of confidently managing production of design information in both 2D and 3D environments;
  • Ideally an excellent working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD;
  • Able to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members and to produce reports in plain English;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and seek assistance when required;
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure that timescales are met;
  • Good problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions;

  Role: This is an exciting opportunity for a Building Services Electrical Engineer with a leading International multi-disciplinary design consultancy in Central London.  They are one of the UKs Top Employers for 5 years in a row according to Top Employer Institute.  Their multi-disciplined team includes MEP (30 strong), Environmental Design & Sustainability, VT, and Architectural Design Lighting.  They are involved in high profile and prestigious projects all over the world across a variety of sectors so the role may involve some travel. Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company in professional and diligent manner at all times.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders, design team, authorities, utilities and associated organisations.
  • Attend all meetings with client, project team, contractors etc.
  • Undertake and deliver high quality detailed engineering design for electrical building services and power distribution systems, including calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications and other documents required.
  • Review and management of project from inception to post construction duties.

  Qualities and Skills:  Required:

  • Chartered Engineer or Professional Registered working toward CEng in 6 months. With Electrical engineering or Building Services Degree with electrical bias, 2,1 or higher.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a building design engineering capacity within the UK and internationally.
  • Proven ability to design electrical Building Services systems and demonstrate rationale behind proposals.
  • Experience of being Lead Electrical Engineering for more than one project (construction value >£30M).
    • Required involvement from Concept to Construction.
    • Involved in Construction Administration (snagging, Testing &Commissioning).
  • Demonstrate knowledge, understanding and application of low carbon design.
  • Mentoring and management of junior engineers, sharing technical knowledge and experience.
  • Able to demonstrate ability to undertake the above responsibilities.
  • Legally able to work in the country in which the position is based.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
  • Self motivated and able to take responsibility.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.

• Senior Mechanical Engineer

They have experienced steady growth by providing first-class project delivery and now consist of a team of 50 multi-disciplinary Building Services and Sustainability Engineers. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work on some of the UK’s largest high-end residential and hotel projects. Key Accountabilities

  • Produce detailed design calculations and preparation of design drawings, specifications, and information.
  • Assist in the practical training of Graduate and Technician Engineers.
  • Managing a team of junior/intermediate engineers.
  • Receive brief from Principal Engineer about initial design information.
  • Produce all design information as outlined in the Project Management Plan.
  • Ensure that all calculations and drawings have been properly checked.
  • Liaise with internal and external Design Team, Clients, and Contractors.
  • Assemble all calculations, drawings, correspondence, and other project documents.
  • Consider financial implications in producing design options.
  • Maintain good communication with Clients, Design Team, and Contractors to meet the Company’s standards in customer care.
