Their Building Services team require an Electrical Engineer to take responsibility for the electrical services and the overall coordination of all services of a wide variety of projects. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary design team for several clients covering a range of activities from project feasibility through to detailed design and construction support. This exciting role will involve leading teams working on demanding large-scale projects both in the UK and potentially overseas. Working closely with clients, architects and other members of the professional team you will take an active role in establishing the brief, leading the design and developing potential solutions in order to assist in delivering high quality projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. Experience and Qualifications required

  • An electrical engineering degree.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects within set time frames.
  • Experience of software’s including Amtech and Dialux/Relux.
  • Experience of designing to British standards.
  • Strong communication skills.

• Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer

  A forward-thinking intermediate Electrical Engineer is required by a specialist multi-disciplined Building Services consultancy based in North London. They are mainly engaged on very large-scale projects such as the corporate HQ’s, mixed use developments, luxury hotels, concert halls, theatres, and airports. In your role as an Electrical Engineer, you will be expected to own, manage, and deliver electrical projects. You will be responsible for the full design from inception to commissioning and final delivery. As part of the role, you will be expected to:

  • Assist in the design and coordination of electrical building services systems.
  • Produce detailed design drawings and specifications.
  • Assist in the selection of appropriate materials and equipment.
  • Attend site visits and liaise with contractors and clients.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the engineering team.

  Requirements:

• Junior Electrical Design Engineer

They provide high-quality comprehensive Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, and Environmental engineering solutions to a broad range of projects. They include large new build, renovations, and fit-outs to bespoke environmental designs that result in more efficient buildings in all sectors including commercial, education, hotels, industrial, leisure and entertainment, mixed-use, residential schemes, and shopping centres. They are looking to add a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join their busy team in London. Responsibilities include:

  • Electrical services design including but not limited to LV design including cable sizing, lighting, lighting controls, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and security systems.
  • Preparation and development of concept, feasibility, and detailed design proposals, which include specifications, drawings, and calculations.
  • Ability to use DIALux lighting and Amtech electrical software.
  • Fully proficient in AutoCAD 2D with either some knowledge of the use of Revit or the desire to learn.
  • MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Good communication skills are required whilst you accompany colleagues to meetings with clients, other professional design team members, and contractors.
  • Strong technical expertise within electrical building services design, gained working within the UK building services industry for either a consultancy or contractor.
  • Knowledge of UK design legislation and guidance.

  Knowledge & Experience required: 

  • 1 -3 years’ Electrical services design experience.
  • DIALux and Amtech software knowledge.
  • HNC/HND level in building services or electrical engineering or degree equivalent.
  • High standard of written and verbal English.
  • Able to handle several ongoing projects at various stages.
