Our client is a multi-disciplinary practice of Building services Engineering Consultants. Established for over 30 years, they now employ more than 60 staff at their offices in London. Sustainability is at the heart of their projects, and because of growth, the in-house sustainability team urgently requires a Sustainability consultant.
The successful candidate will have OCDEA accreditation (EPC for residential new build units) and will have completed numerous SAP/EPC assessments and produced Planning Energy Strategies.
You should also have some experience and be looking to develop in other areas of sustainability engineering including IES thermal modelling, SBEM/daylight/sunlight/thermal bridging calculations, BREEAM assessments, and report writing for planning submissions.
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join one of leaders within the building services industry based in Berkshire.
Their Building Services team require a Senior Electrical Engineer to take full responsibility for the electrical services and the overall coordination of all services of a wide variety of projects. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary design team for several clients covering a range of activities from project feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
This exciting role will involve leading teams working on demanding large-scale projects both in the UK and potentially overseas. Working closely with clients, architects and other members of the professional team you will take an active role in establishing the brief, leading the design and developing potential solutions in order to assist in delivering high quality projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
To succeed in this role, you should be proactive and able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision or technical support. You will have the ability and drive to move to the next level in your career after an appropriate period.
Experience and Qualifications required
An electrical engineering degree.
Proven track record of delivering projects within set time frames.
Experience of software’s including Amtech and Dialux/Relux.
Experience of designing to British standards.
Strong communication skills.
Proven team player.

We have a requirement for an Electrical Design Engineer to join and assist an independent design constancy in London on a contract basis.
As an Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for the designs across several client projects. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
You will be responsible for the following:
Some direct work with the client from concept/feasibility stage
Conduct initial and detailed designs on major large scale projects
Cable calculations, Lighting calculations and power distribution.
Electrical Designs on several projects across different sectors
