I am seeking an intermediate mechanical design engineer to work for a highly regarded building services consultancy focussing on Residential, Mixed-Use, Hotels, Heritage and Commercial projects and specialist bespoke buildings. Although medium in size they have a reputation for working on some of the highest profile and innovative projects currently being developed in the UK and London. They compete with some of the biggest building services consultancies in the UK.
The company is a multi-disciplinary consultancy giving all employees exposure to other teams increasing your learning curve and eventual expertise as a truly well-rounded engineer. The success of my client since the late 80's means that with a low staff turnover and project order book taking them well into 2018, you be joining a growing team of 55 +. Being very client focussed has really helped my client build a very strong reputation in building services. Not only are they flexible and responsive to changing environments, they are focussed on client and end user needs.
My client is involved in many large schemes ranging from £20million-£200million contract values. This is a true indication of the calibre of consultancy that my client is and the type of projects they attract. As an intermediate engineer you should also have the same ambition and share the same drive to succeed while stepping up the career ladder. This very same drive has seen my client win many notable awards
Additional requirements include a degree or equivalent in building services, recent UK experience (2-4 years) carrying out detailed design, experience using mechanical design software including Hevacomp. Being able to integrate into your team is also important as the engineers are split into 4 groups, each managed by one of the directors. Having said this, engineers are encouraged to communicate with all teams. As a mechanical engineer you will also carry out public health duties so PH experience would be an advantage.
To conclude, this is an outstanding opportunity to develop quickly and become part of the foundations of this company in a very friendly environment. This is an excellent chance to take on a key role within an established team being technically focused on projects.
