  • Prepare outline schemes, technical reports, sketch designs and concept layouts. Prepare detailed specifications, schedules, drawings and other contract documents in accordance with RIBA stages.
  • Input into pre-qualification and selection of contractors, tendering procedures and tender review.
  • Liaise with clients, professionals, contractors, suppliers and other design team members. Identify and meet the needs and expectations of clients and mentor and inspire younger colleagues and engineers.

  Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English who is able to inspire, influence and negotiate.
  • You must be able to make decisions, act on your own initiative and operate in a pro-active and professional way.
  • As a key person within the team, you will be liaising directly with clients to formulate initial design strategies as well as managing projects from inception, through construction to project completion.
  • This role will suit someone with excellent interpersonal skills who is enthusiastic, self-motivated and looking for career progression.

  Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in electrical engineering design, including areas such as power supplies, PV/EVC, lighting and alarm systems
  • 3-5 years of experience in a consulting engineering environment
  • You must be fully conversant with the IET Regulations, Building Regulations, BREEAM and the principles of sustainable and low carbon design and be competent with electrical engineering calculations (Amtech/Trimble, Relux, etc).
  • Experience of REVIT (desirable)

  We’re acting as a PSL Agency with access to supply 1 MEP Director and 6 MEP Technical Directors to assemble a team of 30 MEP Engineers across 6 concept packages for a major project in Saudi Arabia. Location: Dubai, UAE/Riyadh, KSA Project Description: An expansive, contemporary downtown mega project spanning 19km2 that is part of the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative. Central to this endeavour is a 400m2 cube-shaped supertall skyscraper, capable of accommodating the equivalent of 20 Empire State Buildings. This downtown is grounded in the principles of sustainability featuring green areas, pedestrian-friendly paths, cycling routes, and eco zones to enhance residents' well-being and promote healthy lifestyles and community engagement. The project will include an iconic museum, a cutting-edge technology and design university, and a multipurpose immersive theatre among 80 state of the art entertainment and culture venues, 300k m2 of retail space, and home for hundreds of thousands of residents.   • Building Services/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree from an internationally recognised university.
  • Chartered Engineer affiliated with the relevant professional institute.
  • 15 years experience delivering major projects
  • 10 years experience in a multi-disciplinary team leader position
  • Exhibits an extensive grasp of MEP and building services design processes, demonstrating leadership in a specialized field.
  • Displays a strong emphasis on sustainability.

• Electrical Engineer

  We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a London County Council on a long-term (ongoing) contract basis. This is a hybrid role, involving work from home, visits to sites, and time spent at the council’s offices. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys and inspections
  • Prepare detailed reports and technical documentation
  • Design and review electrical systems for a range of building types, including:
    • Office buildings
    • Listed and heritage properties
    • Leisure centres and libraries
    • Residential developments

  Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – confident writing reports and leading meetings
  • Proven experience in electrical design, specification writing, and contractor management
  • In-depth understanding of Building Regulations and relevant standards
  • Professional membership (e.g., CIBSE or IET) preferred
  • Familiarity with JCT contracts and AutoCAD is an advantage
