They are looking to add a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join their busy team in London. Responsibilities include:

  • Electrical services design including but not limited to LV design including cable sizing, lighting, lighting controls, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and security systems.
  • Preparation and development of concept, feasibility, and detailed design proposals, which include specifications, drawings, and calculations.
  • Ability to use DIALux lighting and Amtech electrical software.
  • Fully proficient in AutoCAD 2D with either some knowledge of the use of Revit or the desire to learn.
  • MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Good communication skills are required whilst you accompany colleagues to meetings with clients, other professional design team members, and contractors.
  • Strong technical expertise within electrical building services design, gained working within the UK building services industry for either a consultancy or contractor.
  • Knowledge of UK design legislation and guidance.

  Knowledge & Experience required: 

  • 1 -3 years’ Electrical services design experience.
  • DIALux and Amtech software knowledge.
  • HNC/HND level in building services or electrical engineering or degree equivalent.
  • High standard of written and verbal English.
  • Able to handle several ongoing projects at various stages.

  We’re acting as a PSL Agency with access to supply 1 MEP Director and 6 MEP Technical Directors to assemble a team of 30 MEP Engineers across 6 concept packages for a major project in Saudi Arabia. Location: Dubai, UAE/Riyadh, KSA Project Description: An expansive, contemporary downtown mega project spanning 19km2 that is part of the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative. Central to this endeavour is a 400m2 cube-shaped supertall skyscraper, capable of accommodating the equivalent of 20 Empire State Buildings. This downtown is grounded in the principles of sustainability featuring green areas, pedestrian-friendly paths, cycling routes, and eco zones to enhance residents' well-being and promote healthy lifestyles and community engagement. The project will include an iconic museum, a cutting-edge technology and design university, and a multipurpose immersive theatre among 80 state of the art entertainment and culture venues, 300k m2 of retail space, and home for hundreds of thousands of residents.   • Building Services/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree from an internationally recognised university.
  • Chartered Engineer affiliated with the relevant professional institute.
  • 15 years experience delivering major projects

  • Exhibits an extensive grasp of MEP and building services design processes, demonstrating leadership in a specialized field.
  • Displays a strong emphasis on sustainability.

• IES Thermal Modeller

  One of London’s leading M&E Design consultancies needs assistance from an IES Thermal Modeller on a contract remote working assignment. The role will be primarily to undertake modelling work in IES to attain compliance with; Part L, TM59, TM52 and BREEAM. Thermal Bridging Measurements for SAP and working as a member of the Sustainability Team to deliver planning submissions, design work for compliance and to assist with ventilation design. Key Deliverables 

  • Working with the team and engineers to gain a comprehensive brief in order to undertake modelling work.
  • Working with the team to provide design solutions to suit the client and project team's requirements.

   Key Responsibilities 

  • Working as part of the Sustainability team and taking direction in order to deliver projects.
  • Undertaking geometry and system inputs for a range of developments in order to generate IES models
  • Assessing compliance against Part L of the Building Regulations, TM52 and TM59 Overheating criteria.
  • Following the clear procedures and guidelines in order to generate the models and supporting documentation.
  • Undertaking work on IES, Microsoft Office and other approved software
