    The role will provide you with an opportunity to become an integral part of their successful MEP and Sustainability Team and you will assist both teams.

    The role:

    • Work on a wide range of projects including residential, mixed-use, commercial, industrial and educational.
    • Attend meetings with clients and multidisciplinary design teams as Sustainability consultant.
    • Develop and present project sustainability design proposals to the project team and client.
    • Assist senior consultants in project assessments including Part L (SAP, SBEM), BREEAM.
    • Undertake Overheating simulations and present report findings.
    • Undertake energy surveys of buildings.
    • Undertake BREEAM Pre-assessments and preparing reports.
    • Assess project designs for BREEAM compliance and recording evidence.
    • Prepare high quality information including sustainability assessments, planning reports, presentations.
    • Maintain regular contact with clients.
    • Continue to improve your own technical knowledge.
    • Report resource information to senior group managers.

    Competencies:

    • Hold an academic or industry qualification related to sustainability or design.
    • Detailed knowledge of low carbon and sustainable design and London Plan Energy Policy.
    • A good understanding of, or experience of conducting Part L assessments (SAP/SBEM).
    • A good understanding of, or experience of conducting BREEAM Assessments under both BREEAM New Construction 2018 and BREEAM Refurbishment & Fit-out 2014.
    • Ability to use CAD and/or IESVE.
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Senior Mechanical Engineer

    As a leading figure in a team of expert engineers and technicians you will be working closely with various disciplines. You will prepare and oversee detailed engineering designs using the most recent software packages within building services. You will take responsibility for the management of projects to achieve deadlines - attending and leading projects and design meetings to ensure successful planning, allocation and coordination of work. Client liaison is a massive part of this role so someone who can influence technical meetings whilst maintaining strong relationships is essential.

They are looking to employ an intermediate fire systems design engineer to join their very capable team and assist with high profile schemes in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. The ideal candidate will have a good command of written English to write technical specification documents and letters, be personable, able to engage with clients, have a presentable appearance and good speaking voice.

    Requirements:

    • The candidate must be able to provide full sprinkler design and hydraulic calculations on various projects ranging from large industrial units to office fit-outs
    • Be familiar with all British Standards, European Standards, NFPA Codes and FM data sheets
    • Capable of project management / engineering on fire systems projects
    • Fire alarm experience (on the design side) would be beneficial
    • Computer literate and be used to an office environment (use of AutoCAD / Revit beneficial)

You will have a minimum of 5 years' industry experience with the ability to inspire colleagues and run large projects, and undertake a client facing role in the development, design and co-ordination of engineering projects.

    Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with colleagues and clients, and experience working on innovative projects with leading client organisations, and contractors, will equip you to take a future pro-active role in forging client relationships.

    You will need robust technical knowledge relevant to building services design and being capable of incorporating those technologies. The position will ideally suit someone who is currently working in consultancy and is prepared to work 'hands on'.

    A key aspect of providing a suitable fire engineered solution to the client is the knowledge of the

    various Codes and Standards. It is paramount to have good knowledge of the British codes and
